Public Walks in Enfield take place on Sunday afternoon once a month starting at 2pm. Any of these walks can be led for your group or organisation.

1.ENFIELD TOWN
Meet Enfield Town Station
The backstreets of Enfield Town are discovered on this walk and it all could have been lost.

2. FORTY HILL
Meet outside Forty Hall by the lake
Some wonderful Georgian buildings in the conservation area . All have stories to tell.

3. EDMONTON CONSERVATION AREA
Meet Edmonton Green Station
This walk reveals four literary giants, a garden city estate, a tragic air disaster and its fair share of historic buildings and stories.

4. CHASE SIDE & GENTLEMANS ROW
Meet Enfield Chase Station
Plague pits,workhouses and murder rub shoulders with Charles Lamb and the gentry of Enfield on today’s walk.

5. ENFIELD LOCK & THE ROYAL SMALL ARMS FACTORY
Meet outside Tesco on Enfield Island Village. Turn right at the Water Tower roundabout and Tesco is front of you.
The Royal Small Arms Factory could justifiably claim to be what made Enfield Famous. There’s still enough left to enlighten the explorer.

6. THE DARK SIDE OF WINCHMORE HILL
Meet Winchmore Hill Station
Poachers, Highwaymen, murder, ghosts, witches tragedies. Watch the house prices tumble after these stories are revealed.

7. BUSH HILL PARK
Meet outside St Stephens Church by the bus stop in Park Avenue 2pm
Most of the Rustic Bijou Villas have been replaced by flats but

8. BOUNDS GREEN
Meet Bowes Park Station 2pm (by Herbert Road)
On the borders of Enfield & Haringey we discover a forgotten hospital and swimming pool,a bluebell wood and an array of gardens, and a WW2 disaster. We’ll also show you the real Bounds Green.

9. SILVER STREET & PYMMES BROOK
Meet Silver Street Station Edmonton 2pm
Two workhouses, Millfield, Weir Hall, Pymmes House and the in of Eight Happinesses.

10. SOUTHGATE
Meet Southgate Tube 2pm
The Walkers of Arnos Grove dominate this walk to Southgate Green

11. THE DARK SIDE OF ENFIELD
Meet Enfield Town Station 2pm
Ghost Trains, Medieval Murders, Hauntings Galore, Witches & Historical Tragedies. All around the Town.

12. PALMERS GREEN
Meet Palmers Green Station 2pm
Meet Billy Biscuit, visit Loch Melville and hear about the elopement in a laundry basket.

13. PONDERS END
Meet Ponders End Station
This area should be a world heritage site. Here was the birth of light bulb, the valve, thermos flasks and mains radio. Discover this hidden gem as we investigate South Eastern Enfield.

14. WINCHMORE HILL
Meet Winchmore Hill Station
The Cresswells, Quakers, The Old Bakery, a murdered Prime Minister all here in N21.

15. NEW SOUTHGATE
Meet Arnos Grove Station
A small enclave with tons of stories.

16. LAVENDER HILL CEMETERY
Meet Gordon Hill Station
Late Victorian and Edwardian Enfield history comes alive amongst the dead.

17. LANCASTER ROAD
Meet St Michaels Green (Top of Chase Side)
Lancaster Road, Birkbeck Estate, Hilly Fields & Brigadier Hill.
